Richard Anderson
CEO​
Richard Anderson is the single shareholder and operator of Anderson Family Farms, a horticultural nursery located in Canby, Oregon. Richard has over 36 years of horticultural industry related experience.
For 13 years Richard served in the US Air Force and an additional 4 years in the Washington Air National Guard Civil Engineer Unit as an Entomologist in charge of the Fairchild Air National Guard Base.

During this time in Washington State, Richard was a partner in a professional horticultural industry firm responsible for managing the landscape maintenance division.
​
In 1987 he was hired to design-build a theme park in Athol, ID. Richard's recognized management skills and work ethic later earned him the role as General Manager of this 600-acre park known as Silverwood Theme Park, earning him several industry awards.
​
In the Early 90's Richard left Idaho to return to Oregon and became part owner of a landscape contracting company in Portland, Oregon.
​
In 2002 Richard was hired by an investor and led a team to design- build a 12-acre nursery, 50-acre sod farm, and 18-acre vineyard/wedding facility.

In 2014 Richard decided to dedicate full time to operating his own nursery, Anderson Family Farms.

Greg Anderson
Nurseryman
Greg Anderson is a nephew with considerable nursery experience. He has been a nursery consultant to Anderson Family Farms since 2011, on call to source product, review G.A.P (Good Agricultural Practices) protocols and training as it relates to OSHA, new technology and industry practices.
​
Greg is an experienced manager in all facets of running a successful nursery. Areas of expertise include plant production and development; IPM; plan and execute harvest logistics; plant and soil management; budgeting; farm equipment usage and maintenance; OSHA rules and regulations.
​
Anderson was the nursery manager for Bizon Nursery in Hubbard, OR for 17 years. He was in charge of plant production and development of new varieties, budgeting, IPM scheduling, cover crops, and forecasting and managing a $10,000,000 inventory. He managed all day-to-day operations, including enforcing OSHA rules and regulations, ordering supplies, managing land preparation for planting, irrigation schedules, shipping and equipment service records and maintenance. He managed trade shows set up and participation and was instrumental in developing overseas sales to Russia. An excellent photographer, Greg provided photography for the nursery catalog and website.

Recently, Greg was an Expert Grower with Oregon Nursery Advisers in Jinan, Shandong Province, China where he helped to develop a large nursery, selecting nursery stock and shipping it to China. He procured equipment to operate the new nursery and managed a construction company to design and build a new can yard. He established budgets for supplies and products, maintenance records and safety protocols while overseeing training. Greg spent much of his time expanding his knowledge of and working with government regulations and restrictions. He also gained extensive knowledge about plants and diseases not common to the U.S.A

Completing his assignment in China, Greg found himself managing two large commercial nurseries in Oregon and continued to add to his 27 years of agricultural/horticultural experience.

Greg Anderson speaks Spanish fluently and is excellent at customers relations.
